Side quests
Things I built for fun (and because I needed them)
FitTrack
View LiveI wanted to lose weight but hated logging meals manually. Every calorie tracking app felt like homework. I also wore a WHOOP but had to open a separate app to see my recovery data. So I built one dashboard that does both - snap a photo of my food, get instant macro breakdowns, and see my WHOOP stats in the same place.
- •WHOOP integration - live recovery, HRV, sleep, strain with 7-day trend charts
- •AI food logging - snap a photo, Claude Vision identifies items and breaks down macros
- •Animated macro rings tracking calories, protein, carbs, and fat in real-time
- •Weight projection chart calculated from actual logged calorie data
Job Scout
Job hunting as a PM is exhausting. Relevant roles are scattered across LinkedIn, Hacker News, Twitter, Wellfound, and HasJob - and 95% of listings are irrelevant. I was spending an hour every morning just scrolling. So I automated the entire thing: scrape everything, filter with an LLM, and get a clean email digest twice a day.
- •Scrapes LinkedIn, Hacker News, Twitter/X, Wellfound, and HasJob concurrently
- •3-stage filter: keyword pre-filter, location matching, then Gemini Flash LLM scoring
- •Triple-layered deduplication - URL-based, cross-source, and historical
- •Runs on GitHub Actions cron (8 AM + 6 PM IST) - zero infrastructure cost
Reading Companion
View LiveI used to be a crazy reader as a kid - 3 books a week at 15, Sidney Sheldon, Dan Brown, the works. Then life happened (college, work, phones) and I basically stopped for 8 years. I still love reading - I finished a book at the airport recently and couldn't put it down - but at home, the phone and TV always win because they're easier. So I built myself a reading companion that emails me book recommendations written like a friend telling me a wild story, has a cozy 3D bookshelf to track everything I've read, and a bookstore mode for when I'm at Blossoms holding a book and need an instant buy-or-skip decision.
- •3D CSS bookshelf with perspective transforms, gradient spines, and fairy lights
- •Bookstore mode - type a title, get a Claude-powered verdict based on my taste profile
- •Twice-weekly email recs written as story hooks, not generic suggestions
- •Living taste profile derived from 62+ logged books - learns as I read more
